Seeking the views, ideas and concerns of the broad community, a number of health activists and IT specialists have worked to develop 'Outreach for Input', an innovative platform for consultations. Outreach for Input are actions which combine internet questionnaires and polls, telephone interviews and face to face meetings which focus on specific issues. Encouraging people to 'Have a Say' on issues that are of a concern helps activists understand what the community wants and increases participation in related activities and actions. It can make respondents into 'stakeholders', and turn inputs into activism.
